## Description

At cheqd we’re building the infrastructure to help individuals and organisations take control of their data. We’ve built a layer 1 blockchain, using the Cosmos SDK, all focused on offering identity solutions using Web3 and digital identity technologies such as verifiable credentials, decentralized identifiers and various forms of cryptography. If you’ve heard about Web5 or SoulBound Tokens, we’re in this general space.

cheqd brings simplicity, ease and fairness by inverting existing models of data ownership. Individuals can collect their profiles on any service that they have full control over, sharing access to organisations only when needed and with permission. This makes it quicker, safer and cheaper to create a profile on a new digital service, and to be able to switch to any competing offerings easily. For the first time, individuals and the companies that validate their online identity, such as passport offices, banks and utilities, are financially rewarded.

We have published a great deal of content through our blog, YouTube channel, Twitter, and Telegram. We are eager to engage with people who are serious about the space and as such expect someone to have dedicated some time to understand what we’re about when they apply.

## What culture are we building? 

We’re a team of 16 currently, spread across \>10 countries. We started in April 2021 and have raised $3.8 million so far from industry and crypto-focussed VC firms. It’s an exciting time at cheqd as our network and suite of products are now really taking shape. Our partnership network of 42 validators are starting to integrate, and we’re seeing inbound demand from end-customers looking for identity solutions.

Crucially, we’re building a team of people who care deeply about enabling individuals to take control of their data. We’re a well oiled machine, with many of the team coming from corporate backgrounds, however we’ve well and truly pivoted into startup life. We’ve built a culture of trust, respect and fairness. ## About the role

As a well rounded Marketing Lead at cheqd, you'll be key in generating awareness and demand through a diverse set of marketing activities and campaigns. You'll be involved in various areas of marketing, but your main focus will be utilising social media, PR, and events to generate demand.

Our products have their fair share of technical aspects, so you must be able to quickly understand them to effectively communicate to a non-technical audience what makes us different. We've just recently launched two new products, Credential Service and Creds, that will completely change the way organisations issue and manage verifiable credentials, and how individuals build their online reputation.

You’ll be involved in a lot of projects, with different scopes and KPIs. However, you won’t be alone. Our team is open to sharing everything we know. We’re very collaborative, transparent, and candid and we’ll give you the freedom to do your best work.

You'll be part of our Marketing & Community team, reporting directly to the Head of Marketing & Community, and work closely with our product and partnership teams.

## What you’ll be doing at cheqd 

### Responsibilities

1. Manage our social media accounts

2. Manage our relationship with our PR agency (one of the best in the crypto world)

3. Write/review content (including video) for our blog, community announcements, and press releases

4. Handle outreach to different websites & publications

5. Build marketing campaigns, including email and PPC

6. Optimise our website, blog, and digital activities

7. Manage and coordinate events

### Your skills and previous experience

1. Amazing copywriting skills

2. Experience in creating and managing content

3. Love of social media

4. Experience in demand generation with measurable and verifiable results

5. Experience in working at a start-up and directly contributing to its growth

6. Basic design experience is a good to have but not required

7. Basic video editing experience is a good to have but not required

### How we’ll measure your success

1. Growth of social media followers and social engagement

2. Increase in the number of organic inbound leads

3. Increase the MQL to SQL conversion rate

4. Campaigns performance

5. Number of content generated that is published on our blogs and shared amongst our community and social media followers

6. PR wins and event performance

7. Your SMART goals and objectives will be set following our company's North Stars

For you to be successful in this role, you'll need to be a proactive self-starter, have a good mix of creativity and analytics, and have the experience to generate demand in an international market.

## Benefits & other information

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 (other currencies available) + token allocation from cheqd’s employee pool ($CHEQ)

Type: Full-time

Start: July 2023 onwards

Location: London (UK) / Remote. Our core team is based in London but we welcome applicants from +/-4 hours time zones. We aim to have an in-person full team-meetup this year in an exciting destination

Co-working allowance: Budget for co-working space suitable for personal comfort and performance outcomes

Technology allowance: Budget for equipment required for the role

Vacation: 30 days / annum
