Job Description

About Us:

Greenshaw Learning Trust is a successful multi academy trust and currently comprises twenty-four schools: seven in South London, five in Berkshire, one in Surrey, eight in Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire, and three in Plymouth. We are continuing to grow and have further schools joining us regularly.

The Role:

We are looking to appoint someone with recruitment administration experience to join our Shared Services team based in the Gloucestershire / South West area on a part time basis. The Recruitment Officer will manage the recruitment and onboarding cycle, promoting the vision, values and culture of Greenshaw Learning Trust whilst ensuring that safer recruitment practices are followed. We also have exciting projects to develop and launch to improve the recruitment and induction process for staff and candidates.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compiling and updating advertisements, recruitment packs, job descriptions and person specifications
  • Adding vacancies to the in-house recruitment portal accurately and keeping the Recruitment Tracker up to date
  • Placing adverts on various platforms such as Eteach, Indeed, TES, Gov.uk, Linked In and Twitter
  • Conducting candidates searches online (CV Library, Linked In etc)
  • Maintaining the in-house recruitment portal and applicant tracking system
  • Preparing and collating shortlisting grids for the interview panel
  • Supporting interview panels with interview and assessment day tasks and questions
  • Compiling and sending new starter documentation to the successful candidate
  • Maintaining the new starter checklist and ensuring it is up to date
  • Undertaking all pre-employment vetting checks including references and DBS
  • Managing the training portal and health management system set up for new starters
  • Managing the Apprenticeship portal ensuring it is kept up to date
  • Supporting managers with the induction process ensuring all new starters receive a core induction experience
  • Be responsible for diarising the 6-month disposal date of applications to ensure that the GLT Data Retention Policy is adhered to in accordance with GDPR.
  • Assist with managing the HR Support inbox
  • Work closely with the Recruitment Marketing Manager to develop Recruitment data reporting metrics and workforce information

  • A competent user of IT systems, Google Suite and databases
  • Able to work to tight deadlines

Experience of working in a recruitment focused role would be beneficial & previous knowledge of recruitment platforms and working within the education sector could be beneficial, but not essential
