From our UK base in the Cotswolds, we manufacture a range of branded truffle products which are sold globally into wholesale, retail and direct to consumer sales channels.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, organised, team player with great interpersonal skills to join our busy logistics team.

Job Purpose

As a logistics assistant you will be supporting all aspects of the TruffleHunter Operations, including shipments to customers, movement of raw materials, liaising with 3rd party logistics providers and our overseas sales offices, organising both domestic and international freight and shipping to support our varied import and export operations.

Responsibilities

  • Processing incoming e-commerce orders effecting a smooth and timely transaction to a successful delivery: print orders from e-commerce platforms, send to Dispatch, book couriers, liaise with customers, track shipments, other related queries; Ensuring shipping details are correctly logged in various systems.
  • Logistic support for wholesale orders: Book wholesale orders in the courier system, understand their booking/labelling requirements and book the deliveries accordingly. Prepare all the labels and paperwork required for shipment of goods.
  • Supporting the daily import and export operations, ensuring compliance with UK and international import/export regulations.
  • Logistics support for all export orders in accordance with customer requirements. Preparing export documentation accurately/timely, based on relevant import/export law and procedures, tariffs and duties, licences and restrictions.
  • Liaise with 3rd party service providers to ensure that transportation is available to meet on-time shipment and delivery targets.
  • Proactively identify and troubleshoot logistics issues before they turn into late deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate filing and archiving of import/export records ensuring full compliance of all documentation.
  • Work closely with brokers/customers to ensure the correct duties and regulations of their country are adhered to.
  • Ensure customers and Sales and Purchasing teams are kept up to date on the progress of their shipments.
  • Organising movement of stock to/from 3PL’s fulfilment centres, ensuring stock availability
  • Arranging logistics support for international events.
  • Support Ad Hoc projects as assigned by management.
  • Keep up to date with export/import regulations and tariff arrangements.

Skills and experience required:

  • Good level of spoken English and good telephone skills
  • Computer literate in all Microsoft packages
  • Good numerical reasoning skills
  • Analytical Skills
  • Experience in import/export supply chain logistics is preferred (customs brokers and freight forwarders)
