At Garforth care homes we are looking for a housekeeping assistant, covering cleaning and laundry duties, to complement our longstanding and established team.
There are two care homes side by side, The Hollies (Specialist dementia service) and St Armand's Court, where residents have more general care needs, staff will be required to work at one site or over both, if required.
Laundry - you will be required to undertake all aspects of the laundry service from washing, drying and ironing, as well as on occasion mending clothes.
Cleaning - you will be responsible for keeping all areas of the home clean.
We are currently looking to recruit for one position:
- 9 hours per week
Shift times are 9am-1.30pm, and 16.30- 21.00 flexible over 7 days to meet the needs of the business, however this will primarily involve working two evenings per week.
The salary is from £7.84- £10.42 as we employ applicants who are aged 16 and above, however staff will be required to work flexibly over a 7 day rota.
Full training will be provided, and all staff are expected to complete the Care Certificate (online training) within their first 12 weeks of employment.
